Welcome to theunexaminedcurriculum.com! This website is dedicated to the critical examination of the St. John’s College (SJC) academic program and its educational philosophy. It is aimed specifically at accreditation organizations, prospective students, philosophers of education, and SJC students and faculty.
The thesis of theunexaminedcurriculum.com is multifold: first, I argue that the SJC program (i) fails to instill good intellectual and academic habits in its students (negative aspect), and (ii) succeeds in inculcating bad habits in its students, which impede later success in academia (positive aspect) . Second, I argue that SJC ought not to be an accredited institution.
