My name is Phillip Torres, and I am a former SJC student. I matriculated at SJC in 2005 as a “Febby,” but stayed for only my freshman year (Spring 2005-Summer 2005). I began the following academic semester (Fall 2005) at the University of Maryland, College Park, where I earned a degree in Philosophy (Summer 2007), graduating with Honors and the Schlaretzki Prize, awarded to the "most outstanding” student in the Philosophy Department. I am currently earning a M.S. degree in Neuroscience at Brandeis University (Fall 2007-Spring 2008). Next year I will be a philosophy student at Harvard University. My Curriculum Vitae can be found here.
I am also a composer; I’ve written soundtracks for full-length films, music for television commercials, and songs for cover bands. My current project is Victor Eremita. I am married to Whitney Trettien, a beautiful and brilliant MIT graduate student. Her website can be found here.
